The Book of Matthew is a coming-of-age, visual memoir that explores my life’s journey through America's casino of false hope, sliding-scale of human value, violently contagious stupidity and rugged individualism. I am neither victim nor victor in this project. These pages are documentation of memories and experiences that have shaped me through the years. At times in this book, you will find deep-seated anger, shame, delusions of self-importance, colorism, sexism, and ill-guided paths towards self-resilience and peace. I understand that some of the pages may offend, but I assure you that I am not a politician, activist, terrorist or person of influence. In other words, I have no power to subject anyone to the ideas expressed.
